Los Angeles Sweet and Hot Jazz Festival

Each year the Los Angeles Marriott Hotel hosts the Sweet and Hot Jazz Festival over the Labor Day weekend which is 3-6th September 2010. The festival has been celebrated since 1996 and is regarded by some as the best jazz party in America.

Hundreds of modern day performers appear on eight stages, honouring all time great jazz musicians, performing tunes from the 1920s, 30s and 40s. The pool area of the hotel is decorated with plaques, displaying the names of all time favourite jazz musicians including Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra. Each year an additional six names are added to the collection.
